A Winter Wonderland

Before our family said goodbye to 2014 we took a trip to the snow. It was our families first trip. It had been about 10 years since Bradley and I had gone to the mountains and the boys had yet to see snow in real life. As we headed to our destination, the boys kept looking out their windows wondering where all the snow was. We kept reassuring them that we would see it soon and not to worry (although we were a little concerned when we were 30 min from our destination and still no sign of snow!). But then all of a sudden there it was! The boys got SO excited. My oldest son glared all wide eyed out the van window and said "Mom! It's a real life winter wonderland! Look!!" They could not wait to get out and play. They had a list of must do's for our snow trip which included: make a snow man, make a snow angel, and have a snow ball fight. They got to check all three things off that list. They even got to go sledding. Our youngest had a blast laying on his stomach eating snow the whole time. Rex had fun being independent and doing whatever he wanted when he wanted. Max just frolicked around with a big smile playing with everyone. It was a wonderful day and a great memory for our family. I asked them if they wanted to go back soon and much to my surprise they all decided that it was just too cold so maybe later :)
